1- Air Intake tubes, the large center piece and each side going to the air filer boxes. 2- Detach the fuel lines going to the high pressure fuel pumps. 3- Remove the Oil Seperater / PVC hoses - be careful not to damage these, very expensive to replace. 4- Detach various hoses - noting their location.
The 4.2 Tdi V8 is a generally good unit, and a good match for the car. Gives it some surprising "go" for only a marginal penalty at the pumps compared with the 3.0 Tdi. Look out for DPF sensor
Hello all, I have a Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62) P0117 - 001 - Signal too Low - MIL ON code. Background is the fuel gauge doesn't rise at all. It used to work somewhat then just stopped working. I took it to the Audi dealer and they told me the thermostat needed to be changed. Still
The initial lag in 3.0 TDI has been eliminated to a very good extent. The beast seems ready to jump at the slightest hint of throttle action. Also the engine note changes from truck like note (below 1200 rpm) to first a growl and then into a nice throaty snarl . I like it much better than the growl only note of the 3.0 TDI.
