HBO Max Sign-In with Apple ID fails (miserably) Trying to logon to HBO max via my Roku and via my PC (Edge) and the HBO max app. It asked for TV providers, Apple is not listed, (even after expanding). Tried signon with email (apple ID), but it also fails. All remedies found so far point to selecting Apple from the TV provider list.
Try this for any misbehaving app: Force-quit the app, then relaunch and try again. If the issue persists, force-quit the app, restart the device, then relaunch and try again. Whenever I try to watch a movie on HBO max I get a message that my subscription cannot be verified. If I look at the settings in the app (from my Xfinity TV box) it says my HBO max subscription through Xfinity has expired. I pay for HBO and am able to watch HBO channel and HBO on demand. Just the HBO max account stuff is glitched. Now, search for the HBO Max channel and select it. 3. Then, take your remote and press the asterisk * button. 4. Now, select Remove channel. 5. 04:20 pm (IST): YouTube support has come out to confirm that the team is aware of the bug where YouTube TV credentials don’t work on HBO Max even when the plan is paid for. Sorry to hear about the trouble – we’ve seen similar tweets about YouTube TV credentials not working on HBO Max and we’re already working on a fix.
