Go to the snowier areas of the map, and throw some bait around. This will either get you a wolf to kill, or a snow leopards. they spawn in some random places though. i found a snow leopard in the middle of the lake in rhino territory once.
It seems that certain animal companions influence the spawned animals in this game. For example, if you tame a regular wolf, make it your active companion, and enter an area with a wolf icon you'll find the rare striped wolf all the time. OracleGunner 7 years ago #10.

Location: The mission marker is located in the far eastern side of Oros, northeast of Piki Meat Outpost in the cold country. The Wenja woman at the marker says that Udam invaders are killing and eating captured Wenja. The secondary marker is found due south of the first, where you are informed that Udam hunters are taking Wenja as a food source.
