2. Remove central lock/hazard button by using a small flat head screw driver while holding up the dash woodtrim. 3. Disconnect three connectors in the back to the climate control unit. 4. Yes, it is a fairly frequent occurrence. E60/61 electrics are a bit of a weak spot for the model unfortunately. Mine is gradually giving up the ghost too and will need to be replaced. 4/ Pinch on boot lid and pull up. 5/ Disconnect two connector plugs. 6/ Rest of trim will pull up from the centre by hand, just lift gently (open centre console first) 7/ Disconnect iDrive plug. 8/ Remove iDrive from trim by removing 4 outer torx 20 screws. 9/ Open iDrive by removing 4 inner torx 10 screws. 10/ Clean sensors with alcohol swab.
No signal on idrive I have a 116i year 2014, the idrive was working fine till I updated my idrive with the last release update from BMW ( UPD05073.bin). I followed all instruction as explained. After update is completed the idrive rebooted with no signal. Please let me know what may be the problem and how to revert back.
Thanks for the reply. Air bag and module has not been repaired the air bag light is on. I checked and the controller is still plugged. Does the air bag module have to do anything with the controller or idrive? Also the radio, cd, aux works i use the seek botton to skip or seek stations or tracks. , the 1-6 preset and voice command button dont work.
