Remove rear cross panel trim → Chapter. Remove cover from luggage compartment side trim. Push fastening rings -1- together in holder rail -2- so that they are NOT located on the bolts. Unscrew bolts -arrow- and detach holder rail. Unscrew bolts -1- and -2-. If fitted, remove rubber grommet -3- at mounting bracket for load guard.
Re: Allroad Rear Seat Removal. Tug firmly on the left and right side of each seat side. The cupholders are connected to the seat top (not independently) so don't worry about breaking anything. I found all sorts of garbage under mine and it needed a nice thorough cleaning. Have now removed them twice.
First you pull the headrest as high as it will go. Then you pull the plastic cover that the headrest goes through to reveal the guides in the seat. The right side guide is loose, but the left side is locked with a spring clip.

In my case I wanted to route a power supply to a dash mounted GPS placed in the corner so that no cables would be visible and this was made easier by removing this trim piece. It comes off relatively easily and if you are careful, you will not break any clips.
