I think the Odyssey Gold edition is a steal. I wanted to play AC3 remastered, was 40 dollars off sale. The Odyssey Gold includes it for 25 dollars. So you get Odyssey and all of it’s DLC’s (never owned the DLC’s originally on xbox where I played it on launch), AC3 Remastered AND AC Liberation. All for 25 dollars. Crazy. The weapons can drop in daily quests (need internet connection). If you like the cosmetics, and the price is right as in gold v standard+season pass, I'd say go gold. Personally I got the God's Edition (physical statue). Wish it had season pass, had to buy that on top. Actually come to think, all physical editions had no season pass.

I really want to buy the game but not sure I want to drop 130$ up front. Just wait for the Christmas sale. I got mine on autum sale Gold Edition was like £60 total. Well it's a single player game, so if u want enrich ur game experience, DLCs are almost a must. Besides, DLC clothes and weapons looks good and stronger than normal weapon.

Syndicate is a more fun "classic" ac experience imo with a bunch more assassin nuances and stealth options. That being said, I think origins is the better fit for you.
