We went to Varenna by train and then we took the ferry to Menaggio where we rented a boat from AC Boat rental. We spent 3 hours touring around the lake from the rental boat and it was a wonderful afternoon.
Varenna is easily accessible by train if you are traveling from Bergamo or Milan and well connected with the surrounding towns in Lake Como by ferry. Note! The timings and the frequency of the ferries depend on the season, but it is very convenient to access. 3. Menaggio – A Romantic Town With Laid Back Attitude.
